HOW TO GET FROM AIRPORT TO ROME CITY CENTER

When planning a trip to Rome, you probably open your browser on Google and look for ways to get to Rome's city center. (Also read about 8 Things to be careful of when Arriving in Rome)

If you did not book your private transfer, then you are looking for a cheaper way of doing it.

How to get from Ciampino or Fiumicino airport to city center? Check it out!

- Ciampino- Termini Station

Once you are at Ciampino airport, you can take a taxi to Rome (price: 30 euros). Please note that if the taxi driver is asking for me, then this is illegal. The prices are always written on the taxi doors.

When you pass the passport check and get heading to the exit, you will see a mini-office from Terravision. This is a bus company arranging express transfers between the airport and Termini Station. The departures are every 30-40 minutes until midnight.
The ticket price is 4 euro and you can pay at the Terravision point or you can book it directly online from here.  You will receive the ticket at your e-mail address and print it home. Present it to the attendant while boarding.
The ride is around 40 minutes.

Ciampino is a small airport and for sure you will not have the chance to get lost. Use the main exit, go straight ahead and you will get to the bus station.

- Fiumicino- Termini Station

A taxi ride from Fiumicino to Termini Railway Station is around 40 euros.

Terravision express bus ticket is 6 euros if you buy it from the office at the airport and 5 euros if you buy it online. The ride is around 55 minutes.

The ticket will be sent to your email address once the payment is completed.

Note: in some cases, you will need to exchange it for the paper ticket, if necessary. You will find the details on the ticket (written in English).

See below how a ticket confirmation. Mine is from Ciampino to Termini Station.

All Terravision tickets need to be printed. They do not accept copies on your phone or tablet.

And the actual ticket is below (this is from Termini to Fiumicino);

Wish you a safe trip and hope this information will be useful for you!
